Job summary

Dakota Software is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to own the outbound pipeline in a fully remote role across multiple states. You will work with an AI-driven outbound system that drafts messages, scores leads, and updates CRM, while you focus on outreach quality and strategic judgment.

The role offers a growth path toward GTM engineering, with opportunities to learn Zapier/Make/n8n, build dashboards, and evolve tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related fields or Sales Certificate preferred.
• 1–2+ years in a B2B SDR/BDR or outbound sales role with demonstrated ability to cold call and book meetings.
• Comfort working inside automation and AI tools daily, not just using a CRM but understanding data flow between systems.
• Strong written communication: ability to edit AI-drafted emails for prospects with specificity.
• Intellectual curiosity about how GTM systems work and genuine interest in building, not just executing.
• Self-direction: single SDR role with autonomy reporting to Head of GTM.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated email drafts and call talk tracks; approve, edit, or override as needed.
• Cold call high-priority prospects identified by the system based on intent signals or demo engagement.
• Book discovery meetings for Account Executives, targeting 8+ meetings per month.
• Manage and monitor Apollo sequences; adjust targeting, messaging, timing based on engagement.
• Triage inbound signals from Swan.ai, identify visitors/companies for outreach.
• Operate the SDR Autopilot system; triage leads, generate outreach, post Slack recommendations.
