Job summary

Zenith American Solutions is seeking a Supervisor of Accounts Payable to lead and develop the AP team, ensuring accurate processing, timely payments, and regulatory compliance. You will oversee 1099/W-2 year-end activities and coordinate with management, staff, and vendors to maintain service standards.

You will supervise timecards, payroll adjustments, and approvals, while continuously improving workflows. A customer-service mindset and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in Accounts Payable with one year in a supervisory or mentoring role.
• Thorough understanding of common accounting principles and practices.
• Working knowledge of accounting software.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily leadership and supervision to staff consistent with management values and mission.
• Assigns, distributes, and monitors quality and quantity of work produced.
• Develops staff through performance management, goal setting, training, and employee relations.
• Oversees year end 1099 and W-2 tax process.
• Reviews and approves wire transfers, checks, and invoices.
• Reviews and approves timecards and time off requests to ensure payroll accuracy.
• Optimizes workflows, tools, and staff allocation for efficient operations.
• Maintains communications with management, staff, and vendors.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and legal guidelines.
