Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking an A/P Specialist to join our accounting and finance team in a remote-friendly role. You will manage the full AP cycle, code invoices in Sage Intacct, and ensure timely approvals and accurate GL postings.

Responsibilities include vendor reconciliation, expense and credit card processing, and supporting month-end close. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in AP, strong Excel skills, and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience; bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and general accounting practices.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions).
• Experience with an ERP system such as Sage Intacct preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently on deliverables to achieve accurate results.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle AP function, including monitoring the AP inbox and entering invoices in Sage Intacct with accurate GL coding.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation while ensuring proper approvals are obtained.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Communicate with employees, vendors, and internal departments about AP-related questions.
• Reconcile AP-related general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close activities.
• Review and process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions.
• Serve as the point person for our procurement tool, including user support and approval workflow maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Assist with audit requests and provide AP documentation as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and increase efficiency.
