Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to maintain lease accounting schedules under ASC 842 and support reporting across the finance function. This role collaborates with internal teams to ensure accuracy, controls, and timely financial disclosure.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting and at least one year of general ledger experience; ASC 842 knowledge is highly preferred. Remote work may be considered for qualified candidates in listed states along with on-site options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Financial Accounting from a four-year college.
• Minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of end-to-end lease accounting process, including stakeholders, systems, accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries in support of lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts; investigates and resolves variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards affecting internal accounting and reporting; analyzes impact.
• Performs other duties as needed and accommodates qualified individuals with disabilities.
