Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to maintain lease accounting schedules and support end-to-end processes in a dynamic environment. The role focuses on ASC 842 compliance, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.

The position may offer remote work flexibility for the right candidate, with NC location preference. A bachelor's degree in accounting and 1+ year of GL experience are required, with ASC 842 knowledge highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting required.
• At least 1 year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards and assesses impact.
• Other duties as assigned with reasonable accommodations when possible.
