Job summary

Lumelight is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations within the Finance team, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate monthly and annual reporting.

The role mentors a small accounting staff, partners with cross-functional teams, and implements improvements to internal controls and financial processes. The candidate should have 4+ years of experience, advanced Excel skills, and a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Public accounting or audit experience.
• Experience supporting a multi-state or professional services organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Records/approves accounting transactions within GAAP.
• Reviews balance sheet reconciliations and provides corrections.
• Updates policies and procedures related to finance and accounting activities.
• Manages and delegates tasks to the Staff Accountant.
• Assists the Controller and CFO in identifying and mitigating organizational risk.
• Assists with the annual audit, tax returns and other compliance tasks.
• Documents processes and recommends improvements for all duties.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and ability to apply complex accounting concepts.
• Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with MS Office and NetSuite; open to new duties and projects.
