Job summary

Lumelight is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, ensure financial accuracy, and support monthly and annual reporting. This role guides a small accounting team, maintains internal controls, and partners with leadership to drive financial planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities include close coordination of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and policy improvements while ensuring GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Public accounting or audit experience.
• Experience supporting a multi-state or professional services organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Records and approves accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP.
• Reviews balance sheet account reconciliations and identifies errors.
• Participates in updating finance and accounting policies and procedures.
• Leads or delegates tasks to staff accountant(s).
• Supports Controller and CFO in risk identification and mitigation.
• Assists with annual audit, tax returns and other compliance tasks.
• Documents processes and suggests improvements for assigned duties.
• Maintains strong GAAP knowledge and applies sound accounting judgments.
• Communicates clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Manages multiple tasks, meets deadlines, and follows up as needed.
• Proficient with MS Office and NetSuite.
