Job summary

Lumelight is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and support monthly and annual reporting. The role emphasizes GAAP compliance, internal controls, and process improvement within a remote-capable finance team.

The candidate will supervise a small accounting staff, collaborate with the Controller and CFO, and contribute to audits and multi-state compliance efforts. Strong Excel and NetSuite skills are required.

Qualifications

• Strong current knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting guidance.
• Analytical mindset with problem solving and initiative.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize work.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite).

Responsibilities

• Records and approves accounting transactions in line with GAAP.
• Reviews balance sheet reconciliations and posts adjustments as needed.
• Lead month-end close and support audit and tax activities.
• Mentor and delegate work to Staff Accountant and small team.
• Document processes and drive improvements in finance operations.
