Job summary

Lumalight is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and mentor a small accounting team. This role supports monthly and annual close processes, internal controls, and financial analysis to drive strategic decision-making.

The candidate will oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and financial data integrity while working with cross-functional teams to advance operational excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• ~4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Public accounting or audit experience.
• Experience supporting a multi-state or professional services organization.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize, manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Records and approves accounting transactions per GAAP guidelines.
• Reviews balance sheet reconciliations and proposes corrections.
• Reconciles and analyzes balance sheet accounts; acts as SME for internal/external inquiries.
• Updates policies and procedures related to finance and accounting activities.
• Manage and delegate tasks to Staff Accountant.
• Assist Controller and CFO in mitigating organizational risk.
• Assist with annual audits, tax returns and other compliance tasks.
• Document processes and recommend improvements.
