Job summary

Lumalight, d/b/a Lumelight, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day finance operations and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting. You will mentor a small accounting team, drive process improvements, and partner with the Controller/CFO on risk mitigation and audits.

The role demands strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership, and the ability to handle complex financial analyses in a fast-growing organization. Remote work within approved Lumelight states is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Approximately 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Public accounting or audit experience preferred.
• Experience supporting a multi-state or professional services organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and journal entries.
• Manage month-end close and financial reporting support.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Mentor staff accountant and delegate tasks.
• Support annual audit, tax returns, and compliance tasks.
• Develop and document accounting policies and internal controls.
• Communicate findings clearly in writing and verbally.
