Lumalight, a growing benefits administration and compliance firm, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, support monthly and annual reporting, and maintain robust internal controls. You will guide a small team, develop processes, and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong current knowledge of GAAP.
• Proven ability to apply broad conceptual judgment to complex accounting issues.
• Solid problem solving and analytical skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to organize, manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Office and NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Record and approve accounting transactions per GAAP.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and post adjustments as needed.
• Serve as SME to internal/external customers on questions.
• Post and review journal entries.
• Help update finance policies and procedures.
• Manage and delegate tasks to Staff Accountant.
• Assist Controller and CFO in risk mitigation and audits.
• Support annual audits and tax returns; drive process improvements.
