Job summary

Lumelight is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a small finance team, ensuring GAAP-compliant accounting, accurate month-end close, and strong internal controls. This remote role reports to the Controller and supports the CFO in risk mitigation and audit readiness.

The ideal candidate will bring 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, CPA or CPA-track, deep Excel skills, and proven leadership in a multi-state or professional services setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; 4+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and technical accounting expertise.
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred; prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and journal entries.
• Support month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Mentor staff accountant and drive process improvements.
• Assist with internal controls, audits, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Controller/CFO on financial planning and decisions.
