Job summary

Valatam is seeking a Finance Assistant for a 100% remote role to support clients from Latin America. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and bilingual in English and Spanish, with 3–5 years of finance or accounting experience.

You will handle financial records, bank reconciliation, tax payments, payroll support, AP/AR, invoicing, and assist with audits. Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting assistance.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions and prepare balance sheets.
• Track and reconcile bank statements.
• Create cost analysis reports (fixed and variable costs).
• Process tax payments.
• Support monthly payroll and keep organized records.
• Record accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers, and partners as needed.
• Provide administrative support during budget preparation.
• Participate in quarterly and annual audits.
