Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, ensure retention, and support new business efforts from a remote-capable role across US Eastern/Central time zones.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license, 3+ years in account management, and a CIC or equivalent. You will lead a team, coordinate client service, renewals, billing, and policy administration while upholding IOA values.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance
• Active licensing required; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise
• Direct daily activities of the account management team
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances
• Maintain agency management systems and data accuracy
• Communicate workload status and issues with the account team
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate needs
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance
