Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business. The role is remote with Eastern or Central Time Zone eligibility, with onsite/hybrid work possible as per policy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance.
• Active P&C license required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the account team.
• Deliver proactive service and align with IOA values.
