Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business. Role requires active P&C licensing and strong service orientation.

The position allows remote work for Eastern or Central Time Zone residents with potential hybrid onsite as needed; expects leadership of the account management team and collaboration with carriers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Active P&C license is required; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues
• Maintain policy management, renewals and expirations
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages and present proposals
• Monitor accounts receivable and collect balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Ensure timely completion of activities and transparent workload communication
• Deliver proactive service and adapt to client needs
