Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, ensure retention, and support new opportunities. The role requires strong client service, policy administration, and renewal activities across a regional book.

The ideal candidate has an active P&C license (CIC or equivalent preferred), solid communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office. A hybrid/remote work setup within ET/Central time zones may apply as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active licensing; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day admin and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data.
• Renewals: manage expirations, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Accounts receivable: monitor reports and collect outstanding balances.
