Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to oversee a book of business and drive retention. The role combines client service, policy administration, renewals, and data-driven decision making.

You will lead a team, coordinate cross-functional activities, and ensure timely, accurate service while supporting new business opportunities in a hybrid/remote setup.

Qualifications

• Active property & casualty (P&C) license is required.
• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals; conduct client research and prepare submissions.
• Negotiate coverages and present proposals; monitor delinquent accounts and collections.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms; ensure data accuracy.
