Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain clients, and support new business. The role includes day-to-day admin, policy management, billing, and renewals.

You will lead the account management team, handle complex client requests, and ensure timely, accurate service while maintaining strong relationships in a hybrid or remote setup.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty licensing required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business and support retention and growth.
• Coordinate daily administrative and customer service activities.
• Resolve complex issues with accuracy and no errors or omissions.
• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Ensure timely completion by monitoring activity and suspense.
• Communicate workload status with the account team openly.
