Job summary

Greif is expanding our Outside Sales team to drive new business development across the southeastern US. This remote role favors candidates who reside in or near North Carolina or South Carolina and are comfortable with frequent travel to meet customers and prospects.

As an Account Manager dedicated to new business, you will build a strong pipeline, pursue opportunities, and secure new logos while developing relationships with key decision-makers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4–8 years outside sales, business development, or account management experience.
• Experience using CRM systems to manage prospects, opportunities, and forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects and new business opportunities.
• Prospect, identify, pursue, and secure new customers throughout the assigned territory.
• Develop strategic account plans to grow revenue, volume, margin, and market share.
• Build relationships with decision-makers across purchasing, operations, and leadership.
• Prepare, present, and negotiate proposals, pricing, and commercial agreements.
• Manage opportunities and sales activity through CRM, including pipeline and forecasting.
• Conduct customer visits, plant tours, product trials, and technical consultations to move opportunities forward.
