Job summary

The American Marketing Association is offering a fully remote Academic Communities Intern role. You must live in AL, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MA, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WI.

The internship pays $18.00 per hour for up to 24 hours per week, running Jan 19, 2027 to Apr 9, 2027. You will support academic marketers by delivering events, supporting volunteer leaders, and building a home for academics.

Qualifications

• Customer service or volunteer management experience.
• Interest in event management, volunteer management, or association management.
• Experience with Google Suite and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work remotely for about 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage SIG webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget, payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support planning and logistics for AMA conferences in 2027.
• Respond to attendee inquiries with the Academic Communities team.
• Assist with conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist the Senior Copy Editor with conference proceedings administration.
