The American Marketing Association is offering an Academic Communities Intern role. This fully remote internship requires residing in select states and entails up to 24 hours per week at $18/hour, January 19, 2027 through April 9, 2027.

You will support the academic marketers’ community by organizing events and assisting volunteer leaders. Responsibilities include maintaining SIG webpages, helping with budgets and invoices, planning conferences, handling attendee inquiries, and assisting with

Qualifications

• Customer service or volunteer management experience
• Interest in working within event management, volunteer management, or association management
• Keen eye for detail
• Ability to work remotely 24 hours per week

Responsabilités

• Maintain and manage Special Interest Group (SIG) webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support the Manager, Academic Communities, with planning and logistics for the 2027 Winter Academic, Virtual Winter Academic, Summer Academic, and Marketing and Public Policy conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries alongside the Manager, Academic Communities, and Customer Support team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist the Senior Copy Editor with conference proceedings administration.
