Job summary

American Marketing Association seeks an Academic Communities Intern to support the academic marketer community. The role is fully remote, with eligibility restricted to residents of AL, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MA, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WI.

The internship runs Jan 19–Apr 9, 2027, at $18/hr for up to 24 hours weekly. You will assist with events, volunteer leaders, and conference logistics, providing essential administrative support while helping foster a welcoming

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a college or university and have a high school diploma.
• Demonstrated customer service or volunteering experience is preferred.
• Interest in event management, volunteer management, or association management is required.
• Proficiency with Google Suite is expected.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work remotely.
• Availability for up to 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for the Academic Communities team.
• Support planning and logistics for multiple AMA conferences in 2027.
• Maintain SIG webpages and manage budget-related tasks.
• Respond to attendee inquiries with the team.
• Assist with awards processes and conference proceedings.
