Job summary

The American Marketing Association is offering an Academic Communities Intern role that is fully remote and designed for students living in AL, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MA, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WI. The internship runs Jan 19, 2027 to Apr 9, 2027 and pays $18.00 per hour with a maximum of 24 hours per week.

As an integral member of the Academic Communities team, you will support member engagement by managing SIG webpages, assisting with budgets and event logistics

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrolled at a 2-year or 4-year college/university.
• Customer service or volunteer management experience.
• Experience with Google Suite.
• Ability to work remotely up to 24 hours per week.
• Keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Special Interest Group (SIG) webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support the Manager, Academic Communities, with planning and logistics for the 2027 Winter Academic, Virtual Winter Academic, Summer Academic, and Marketing and Public Policy conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries alongside the Manager, Academic Communities, and Customer Support team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist the Senior Copy Editor with conference proceedings administration.
