Job summary

American Marketing Association is hiring an Academic Communities Intern. This fully remote role requires residency in AL, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MA, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WI. Pay is $18.00 per hour for up to 24 hours per week, Jan 19, 2027 to Apr 9, 2027.

You will support the AMA academic communities by delivering events, supporting volunteer leaders, and fostering fellowship among academics while handling SIG webpages, budgets, and conference logistics.

Qualifications

• You have a high school diploma and are enrolled in college.
• You bring customer service or volunteer management experience.
• You are interested in events, volunteer, or association management.
• You have experience with Google Suite and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Special Interest Group (SIG) webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support planning and logistics for 2027 Winter, Virtual Winter, Summer conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries with the team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist with conference proceedings administration.
