The American Marketing Association offers an Academic Communities Intern role designed for students seeking hands‑on experience in event and volunteer management. This fully remote internship is open to residents of AL, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MA, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WI and pays $18.00 per hour with a maximum of 24 hours per week.

The internship runs January 19, 2027 – April 9, 2027.

Formación

• Customer service or volunteer management experience.
• Interest in working within event management, volunteer management, or association management.
• Experience in Google Suite.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work remotely 24 hours per week.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and manage Special Interest Group (SIG) webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support the Manager, Academic Communities, with planning and logistics for the 2027 Winter Academic, Virtual Winter Academic, Summer Academic, and Marketing and Public Policy conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries alongside the Manager, Academic Communities, and Customer Support team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist the Senior Copy Editor with conference proceedings administration.
