Job summary

Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Specialist to learn the full process of administering, testing and reporting on 401(k) plans from documents to year-end filings. Through hands-on training you will progress from document review to handling basic plan administration and year-end reporting.

You will work remotely, supporting clients nationwide, conducting IRS Form 5500 filings, and providing guidance on plan documents.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business/finance or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of 401(k) plan structure and IRS/DOL regulations preferred

Responsibilities

• Obtain information to prepare annual reporting for clients
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software
• Perform 401(k) testing and reporting
• Make reminder calls and emails to clients during plan year
• Prepare IRS Form 5500 filings
• Educate clients on 401(k) administration and documents
• Share knowledge and provide training for Retirement Plan Administrator I
