Job summary

Guidant Financial offers a fully remote Retirement Plan Specialist role, enabling you to work from home while supporting entrepreneurs nationwide. You will learn the full process of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans through accelerated training and practical experience.

You will review client-submitted documents, communicate progress, and help clients understand year-end reporting requirements, including IRS Form 5500.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (business, finance, etc.) or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of 401(K) plan structure, IRS/DOL regulations preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information to prepare the annual reporting.
• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software for 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Prepare required 401(k) plan government filings including IRS Form 5500.
• Educate clients regarding administration of their 401(k) plan and documents.
