Job summary

Guidant Financial, a leading retirement planning company, offers a fully remote role for a Retirement Plan Specialist. You will learn the full process of 401(k) plan administration, testing and reporting, reviewing client documents, and guiding them through year-end government filings including the Form 5500.

You will work with clients nationwide, gaining practical experience and advancing through accelerated training.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
• Skills in customer service, organization, and collaboration.
• Adequate math and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 401(K) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL Regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information to prepare annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Utilize software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Make reminder calls and send emails to clients during plan year reporting.
