Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist for a fully remote role across select US states. You will learn to administer, test, and report on 401(k) plans, reviewing documents, notifying clients of progress, and assisting with year-end filings including Form 5500.

The role emphasizes accelerated training, ongoing learning, and a path toward more advanced plan administration responsibilities within Guidant's ESOP journey.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing.
• 1 to 5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience preferred.
• Experience with reconciliation preferred.
• Degree preferred in business/finance or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual reporting for 401(k) plans with clients.
• Review client-submitted documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans with rollovers and plan stock using Excel and admin software.
• Run 401(k) testing and reporting using administration software.
• Make reminder calls and emails to clients during plan-year reporting.
• Prepare IRS Form 5500 filings and related documents.
• Educate clients on 401(k) plan administration and documents.
