Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist for a fully remote position in the United States. You will learn the full cycle of administering, testing and reporting on 401(k) plans, with accelerated training and hands-on experience. Expect growth through documenting, reviewing, and coordinating year-end government filings.

The role emphasizes client communication, accuracy, and proficiency with Excel and plan software, within an ESOP-focused, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience in one or more areas such as benefits administration, money movement, insurance, tax prep, loans, mortgage processing, or compliance.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business or finance, or equivalent work experience, is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain necessary information to prepare the annual reporting.
• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans with rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software.
• Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Make outgoing reminder calls and emails to clients during the plan year reporting process.
• Prepare required 401(k) plan government filings, including IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
• Educate clients regarding the administration of their 401(k) plan and documents.
