Job summary

Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to learn and administer 401(k) plans. You will review client documents, communicate progress, and support year-end reporting and IRS filings as you progress from document review to basic plan administration.

On this remote-first role, you will gain hands-on experience with 401(k) testing, government filings, and client education, while contributing to a growing ESOP-ready culture and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing as daily responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k) or IRA) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain necessary information to prepare the annual reporting.
• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans with rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software.
• Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Make outgoing reminder calls and send emails to clients during the plan year reporting process.
• Prepare required 401(k) plan government filings, including the IRS Form 5500.
• Educate clients regarding the administration of their 401(k) plan.
