Job summary

Guidant Financial offers a fully remote Retirement Plan Operations Specialist role, enabling you to learn and administer 401(k) plans while supporting clients nationwide. You'll review documents, perform reconciliations, and prepare annual government filings as part of a growing ESOP‑oriented company.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing as daily responsibilities.
• 1 to 5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience (benefits, wires, tax prep, or compliance).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Retirement-plan operations experience (401(k) or IRA administration, reporting, 5500) preferred.
• Experience with reconciliation as a daily responsibility preferred.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business/finance or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information for annual reporting.
• Review client documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Execute 401(k) testing and reporting via administration software.
• Make reminders and communicate progress to clients.
• Prepare 401(k) filings, including IRS Form 5500, with filing software.
• Educate clients on retirement plan administration and documents.
