Job summary

Cosmo 1:1, formerly ClassUp, offers ESL tutoring for K-12 students in the US, Canada, and Asia. You will teach ESL to Singaporean and Hong Kong students using the Cosmo curriculum. Lessons are 50 minutes 1-on-1 at a fixed weekly time.

As an independent contractor, you set a flexible, reliable schedule. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree, 3 years of K-12 ESL/ELA experience, and access to a quiet space with reliable internet. Compensation is $20 USD per class plus incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 in ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• TEFL certificate preferred but not required.
• Fast and reliable internet and a computer with adequate specs.
• Must commit to at least 6 months with Cosmo 1:1.
• Available 6–9 AM EST, Monday–Friday or weekends; 20+ hours per week.
• Based in the United States or Canada; online classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction for students.
• Update availability in the Cosmo App promptly.
• Prepare lesson materials suitable for student age and ability.
• Submit feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate professionally with parents and students.
• Attend all classes on time in a professional setting.
• Coordinate with Cosmo staff as needed.
