Job summary
GAF is seeking a Reliability Engineer II to take ownership of reliability and maintenance programs, improving uptime, extending equipment life, and reducing cost. You will develop and implement advanced maintenance strategies, collaborate across maintenance and operations, and drive initiatives for long-term reliability goals while supporting safety and quality standards.
The role emphasizes cross-functional, customer-focused activities and the use of data-driven methods to optimize asset
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of industrial manufacturing experience and maintenance/reliability improvement.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
- Experience with CMMS (Maximo preferred).
- Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead FRACAS process, including weekly downtime reporting.
- Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs and optimization reviews.
- Develop workforce development plans (annual and 5-year).
- Maintain and track department KPIs; audit maintenance practices for improvements.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations to achieve reliability goals.
