Job summary

Atalco Gramercy in Louisiana seeks a Reliability Engineer to ensure equipment and processes perform reliably through their lifecycle, reducing downtime and optimizing costs. The role focuses on developing maintenance strategies and enabling cross‑functional collaboration across maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams.

The ideal candidate will monitor performance, analyze failure data, conduct RCA, and lead reliability improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related).
3–7 years of experience in reliability, maintenance engineering, or similar role.
CRE (ASQ) or CMRP certifications preferred.
Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles (RCM, FMEA, RCA, TPM, RMB).
Advanced maintenance process knowledge and parts inventory management.
Analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of rotating equipment, pressure vessels, valves and piping systems.

Responsibilities

Monitor asset reliability and performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Develop and implement reliability improvement plans for critical equipment.
Participate in RCA using 5-Why, Fishbone, or FMEA.
Design and optimize predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
Support maintenance teams in developing preventive maintenance procedures.
Maintain reliability models and equipment histories.
Evaluate equipment design to improve reliability and lifecycle costs.
Track KPIs: MTBF, MTTR, OEE, downtime trends.
Lead cross‑functional reliability improvement meetings.
Provide technical support during downtime events.
