Job summary

Qualus is seeking experienced Relay Testing professionals in Field Engineering to lead end-to-end protection and control testing for substations and plants across the US. Level III, Senior, and Lead roles require strong technical knowledge of IEDs, protection schemes, and field testing with experienced mentoring capabilities for technicians and engineers.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, performing end-to-end tests with manual and automated sets, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in relay testing and commissioning in substations or equivalent military experience
• Experience reading One Line and wiring diagrams
• Ability to work in varied field environments and travel

Responsibilities

• Red-lines design documents and reviews for protection schemes
• Perform end-to-end and IED testing, both manually and with automated test sets
• Develop test plans and risk assessments for protection & control systems
• Lead tasks within projects and provide technical leadership
• Conduct weekly site safety inspections
• Support company and customer policies
