Job summary

Qualus Corporation is seeking experienced Relay Testing Professionals (Level III, Senior, Lead) for field engineering roles supporting protective relaying, control schemes, and IED integration across utilities. Responsibilities include end-to-end testing, design review, and mentorship of technicians and engineers in substations and plants.

The role requires 5+ years in relay testing, strong knowledge of protection and control, and the ability to travel to client sites with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relay testing and commissioning in substations.
• Associate degree or equivalent technical training; Bachelor’s degree may classify as Engineers.
• Experience with volt–ohm–meter and hand tools.
• Ability to read One Line and AC/DC diagrams.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Red-lines design documents across the drawing set (Single Line, AC/DC Elementary, Wiring, BOM).
• Perform End-To-End testing of protection and control schemes.
• Test IEDs manually and with automated test sets.
• Identify risks and develop test plans and risk assessments.
• Lead tasks and provide technical leadership on projects.
