Job summary

Qualus seeks experienced Relay Testing Professionals in the Field Engineering department (Level III, Senior, Lead) focused on protection & control schemes in substations and plant locations. You will commission and test IED-based protection and SCADA interfaces, mentoring field technicians and engineers across projects.

Role involves end-to-end testing, site safety, and leadership on defined scopes. Travel to client sites is required, with relocation/travel incentives and strong mentorship

Qualifications

• 5+ years in relay testing and commissioning in substations.
• Associate degree or equivalent military training may be considered as Technician level.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field may be Engineer level.

Responsibilities

• Red-lines design documents (Single Line, AC/DC Elementary, Wiring, BOM).
• Performs End-To-End testing and IED testing manually and with automated test sets.
• Identify risks and develop test plans and risk assessments.
• Lead people and tasks on projects with well-defined scopes.
• Perform weekly site safety inspections.
• Support company and customer policies and procedures.
