Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Systems Protection Relay Settings Engineering Manager to hire, develop, and lead a focused engineering team. You will influence technical strategy and build a culture that delivers lasting impact while aligning with project backlog and departmental goals.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate cross-functional efforts with clients, and oversee design and QA/QC processes to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from ABET-accredited school; MS in Engineering Management or MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in management within the energy sector.
• Experience in systems protection and relay settings.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, and develop engineering staff; communicate expectations and review contributions.
• Contribute to strategic plans and action plans; improve production, quality, and customer service standards.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure proper engineering processes on projects.
• Develop trusted relationships with senior-level engineering and client executives.
• Coordinate work with offshore/remote engineering offices and shared resources as needed.
• Present technical solutions confidently to customers and address questions in real time.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from ABET-accredited school

Master's Degree in Engineering Management or MBA
