Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus.
  • 7+ years of protection and control engineering and relay settings experience.
  • Experience with power system analysis tools such as CYME, ASPEN and CAPE.
  • Professional Engineering licensure or plan to obtain.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills; ability to identify required software for design work.

Responsibilities

  • Design, specification, setting calculation, and coordination of protective relaying and relay control schemes.
  • Modeling, short-circuit and overstress studies; provide protective relaying recommendations for client systems.
  • Ensure relay settings activities comply with company policies and client standards.
  • Present technical solutions to customers clearly and address questions in real time.
  • Collaborate across Qualus groups to implement engineering solutions.
