Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Lead Relay Settings Engineer in Fort Worth, TX, to design, specify, calculate settings, and coordinate protective relays and relay control schemes. This role requires 7+ years in protection and control engineering with a power systems focus, and familiarity with ASPEN/CAPE.

You will collaborate across teams, present technical solutions to clients, and ensure work aligns with standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with power focus.
7+ years of protection and control engineering experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration or plan to become registered.

Responsibilities

Design, specification, setting calculation, and coordination of protective relaying and relay control schemes.
Modeling, short circuit and overstressed breaker studies and protective relaying recommendations for generation interconnections.
Ensure compliance with company policies and client design standards.
Present technical solutions to customers and respond to technical concerns in real time.
Collaborate with teams to develop and implement technical solutions for engineering objectives.
