Qualifications

• 2+ years customer service experience in banking
• Knowledge of bank products and services
• Cash handling experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Customer focus with the ability to build and maintain relationships
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative
• Proficient computer skills including Word and Excel
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to change

Responsibilities

• Learn and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all account types, products, services, and online account opening; advise customers and identify referral opportunities
• Open accounts and process loan applications for new and existing customers online and in branch
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
• Educate customers on consumer and business products and services
• Research and respond to complex matters, escalating to management as appropriate
• Balance cash drawer and perform daily branch operations and regulatory reporting
• Assist with branch opening/closing and coverage as needed
• Meet branch goals for customer retention and deposit growth
• Participate in bank projects and committees as needed
• Train new branch staff as needed
• Process a variety of customer transactions in lobby and drive-thru; maintain confidentiality of information
• Assist with CRA responsibilities and community service projects
• Maintain compliance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines
• Support coverage for Methuen, MA branch if needed
• Perform other responsibilities as needed
