Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker to build meaningful client relationships and provide customized financial solutions. You will educate clients on digital and traditional banking options, open deposit accounts, and originate consumer loans while actively building a loan and deposit portfolio.

You will engage in community activities, conduct outbound outreach, and collaborate with internal partners to deliver Breakthrough Client Service Standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• 2 years banking and/or demonstrated sales experience.
• 2 years developing client relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources in banking or retail environments with client service and cash handling experience.
• 2 years in a lending function with loan origination and processing.
• In-depth knowledge of consumer and business products and services.
• Demonstrated proficiency in consumer and business lending.
• Ability to understand cash flow, financial statements, and market risk.
• Desire and ability to build tech skills across online banking platforms and mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Engage clients and prospects in client and business financial reviews to provide solutions and uncover needs.
• Maintain direct contact with clients, delivering outstanding service per Breakthrough Client Service Standards.
• Open new deposit accounts and originate consumer loans in the branch.
• Originate consumer and some small business loans and manage a loan and deposit portfolio.
• Educate customers about services from internal partners (e.g., Treasury Management).
• Perform outbound calls to current and prospective customers; partner for community meetings.
