Job summary

Columbia Bank seeks a Relationship Banker to build long-term client relationships and offer customized financial solutions. The role emphasizes education on digital and traditional banking, outbound outreach, and collaboration with internal partners to meet clients' goals.

The position requires 2 years banking/sales experience, lending proficiency, and the ability to analyze cash flow and financial statements. Standard onsite hours apply in Bellingham, WA.

Qualifications

• 2 years of banking and/or demonstrated sales experience.
• 2 years developing current and new client relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources in banking or retail environment with client service and cash handling experience.
• 2 years in a lending function with loan origination and processing functions.
• In-depth knowledge of Consumer and Business products and services.
• Demonstrated proficiency in consumer and business lending and understanding of cash flow, financial statements, and market risk.

Responsibilities

• Open new deposit accounts and originate consumer loans.
• Originate consumer loans and some small business loans, building a loan and deposit portfolio.
• Educate customers about Treasury Management services and digital banking solutions.
• Perform proactive outbound calls to current and prospective customers; participate in community outreach.
• Develop a pipeline of prospects from in-branch and outbound business development activities.
• Support customers in using digital products and resolve issues; engage in community sponsorships.
