Job summary

Regions Bank in Birmingham, AL, seeks a Relationship Banker I to deliver exceptional customer experiences on the cash line and over the phone while supporting customers with basic banking needs and digital tools.

You will build relationships, understand customer goals, and refer more complex queries to specialists. The role offers growth opportunities within a community-focused bank and eligible incentive plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
• Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
• Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels.
• Ability to use a computer regularly, including typing and sustained attention.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to twenty pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line and over the phone.
• Handle deposits, withdrawals, payments and other teller transactions.
• Answer inquiries and fulfill basic servicing requests (cards, PIN resets, checks, updates).
• Develop relationships with customers and learn their banking needs.
• Educate customers on digital banking options and self-service tools.
• Refer complex needs to internal specialists when appropriate.
• Follow bank procedures and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Help the team achieve branch targets and provide guidance on Regions solutions.
• Assist with outbound calls to introduce technology and products when suitable.
