Hylant in the United States seeks a Captive Reinsurance Accountant to support evaluation and management of reinsurance contracts, claims, and reinsurer relationships. The role ensures compliance with policies, efficient claim settlement, and clear communication with reinsurers.

In this role you will prepare technical and financial accounting, review contracts, manage claims processing, generate reports, and advise internal stakeholders on Statutory and Reinsurance Accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in reinsurance accounting or similar financial area.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, Teams.
• Strong attention to detail and metrics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel by car or airplane for meetings and events.

Responsabilités

• Prepare technical, financial accounting of premium, claim and reserves based on statements of accounts or bordereaux.
• Review and analyze reinsurance contracts to ensure adherence to policies and guidelines.
• Manage processing and settlement of reinsurance claims.
• Generate reinsurance reports and conduct analysis to support decision-making.
• Consult internal stakeholders on Statutory and Reinsurance Accounting guidance.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with reinsurers.
• Drive continuous process improvement and standardization; identify inefficiencies.
• Keep SOPs and training guides up to date in collaboration with Captive Account Executives.
