Job summary

State of Washington - Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician 1 to support counselors by handling front desk duties, customer service, and administrative tasks. You will help with eligibility, data entry, and maintaining participant records.

The role emphasizes organization, clear communication, and reliable coordination to keep DVR services flowing. Training and collaboration with VRCs are essential for helping participants reach employment goals.

Qualifications

• Two years of college-level coursework OR equivalent combination with relevant experience.
• At least one year of direct customer service experience in a non-retail setting.
• Employees with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation policy training requirements must meet mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist participants at the front desk and manage reception duties.
• Explain DVR programs, services, and eligibility requirements to applicants.
• Enter new applications into the Case Management System within five days of signup.
• Assist VRCs with gathering information for the Individual Plan for Employment.
• Monitor participant progress and maintain regular contact with customers.
• Schedule interpreters, service providers, and meetings with VRCs.
• Support case movement by collecting information and documenting actions within deadlines.
