State of Washington's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) in Puyallup, WA, seeks a Rehabilitation Technician 1 to support counselors and staff. The role combines front-desk duties with behind-the-scenes coordination to help participants access services and move toward employment goals.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of college coursework and one year of customer service experience in a non-retail setting, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Formación

• Two years of college-level coursework and at least one year of experience providing direct customer service in a non-retail setting.
• A combination of education and relevant experience totaling at least three years that demonstrates the ability to perform the work.
• Note: Current DSHS employees must meet mandatory training requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Provide front desk and office support, including greeting participants and answering phones.
• Explain DVR programs, services, and eligibility requirements to prospective participants.
• Enter new DVR service applications into the Case Management System within five days of signing.
• Help VRCs and participants gather information for Employment Plans and obtain quotes.
• Track participant progress and maintain case records; reinforce next steps toward employment goals.
• Coordinate appointments with interpreters and service providers; track milestones and documentation within 30 days.
• Monitor Authorizations for Payment and review case records before closure.
• Identify potential community vendors and explain registration requirements.
• Prepare AFPS or issue payments within five days of request or invoice.
• Prepare correspondence for participants, vendors, and stakeholders.
