State of Washington's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation is hiring a Rehabilitation Technician 1 to support counselors and staff in client intake, eligibility, and service delivery. The role blends front-desk duties with behind-the-scenes coordination to help people with disabilities pursue meaningful employment.

The position emphasizes organization, clear communication, and proactive case management to keep applicants engaged and on track with their employment goals.

Formación

• Two years of college-level coursework.
• At least one year of experience providing direct customer service in a non-retail setting.
• Employees must meet mandatory training requirements specified by the DVR policy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals with diverse backgrounds.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of DVR policies and procedures, including purchase and payment of goods and services.

Responsabilidades

• Provide general office support with front desk responsibilities, including greeting participants and managing the lobby.
• Explain vocational rehabilitation programs, services, and eligibility requirements to prospective participants.
• Enter new applications into the Case Management System within five days of sign-up.
• Assist VRC and participants in developing the Individual Plan for Employment and in gathering quotes for services.
• Monitor participant progress, verify measurable skill gains, and maintain regular contact with customers.
